How to pick a healthy museli bar

This here are the results of every bar that is selected. One tick tells us that, that is unhealthy for that reason and for 2 ticks it means that it is healthy and under or over it's limit.

The Hatchet

Today for reading we did some reading responses. Every afternoon our teacher reads us a bit of a novel. She organized us some questions and these are the main questions that were asked.

How did you react to Brian’s thoughts and actions? Do you think he is sensible or unreasonable? I thought Brian was brave because of what he went through trying to land a plane but actually crashed, surviving the wild with no food or shelter for 2 days that’s what I call bravery and courageous.

What lesson does Brian recall from Mr Pepich, his English teacher? How does that lesson help Brian as he sits beside the lake?Brian thinks about Mr Pepich words how he spoke “You are your most valuable asset”.

Sometimes Brian’s thoughts go back to an earlier time, when he was with his mother. What effect do these “breaks” have on the story. Once the flashback ended Brian screamed his lungs out until it went all silent.

Are Brian’s reactions to the pilot’s death and the crash realistic? Does Brian seem like a real thirteen-year-old boy?
Brian was shocked when the pilot died but he was also brave to. Once he died there was no sign of saying that he cried or did anything so I guess he'd have to be a 16 year old boy.

Helmets Saves Lives

Analysis: What are some of the problems of encouraging children to wear cycling helmets? Upload your answer to your individual blog after conferencing with the teacher.(Task 1)

The problem might be the children refusing to wear it because it's ugly.

Evaluation: Whose responsibility do you think it should be to ensure that an eight year old child wears a cycling helmet every time he or she gets on the bike?  Explain your answer. Upload your explanation to your individual blog after conferencing with the teacher. (Task 3)
The responsibility for an 8 year old going onto a bike would be her or he’s parents otherwise it’s there elder siblings.

Pumping Pedals

“ Pumping Pedals” by Maggie Lilleby

1. Recall
Give a brief summary of the story.
This story is about Sally competing in BMX bike competition. She’s only versed boy’s in the competition because no other girl wants to join in the club.

2. Infer
What kind of a person is Sally Davies? Tell why you think this.
She would do anything to compete in BMX races and I know why because BMX racing is her main lover sport.

3. Evaluate
Explain why you think the author entitled the story as “Pumping Pedals”
They called it this because there’s a lot of pedaling in this story.

4. Think about it
Why do you think Sally would like to attract more girls to the sport of BMX racing?
Because Sally is the only girl the races in the BMX racing course and maybe she doesn't want to verse on boys anymore.

5. Recall
How are the bikes designed and what are they made of?
They are made out of things that are meant for bikes.

6. Think about it.
Why did Sally groan as she remembered her first racing bike?
Cause she didn’t know how hard you have to work to achieve BMXing.

7. Please explain the racing technique called “pumping” and why it might be important?

8. Do you think BMX racing is a dangerous sport. Tell why or why not you think this.
No because before you get on the bike you put on the safety helmets and clothing on too.

9. Synthesize
Please tell what you liked most about the story and why or why not you would like to be a BMX racer.
I like BMX because you have fun and it can be exercise for your calf muscles. You will also have so much fun and meet new friends.
